Yes, free notarization exists — here's where

Many banks and credit unions notarize documents free for their account holders — walk-in, ink and stamp. Some libraries, city clerks, and shipping stores offer low-cost notary service too. If your document is domestic, you have time during branch hours, and no witnesses or special formats are involved, going to your bank is a perfectly good answer and we'll be the first to say so.

What the “$10 online notary” ads really mean

Advertised rock-bottom prices are usually the per-seal platform fee — before identity-verification charges, per-document add-ons, subscription requirements, or upsells at checkout. By the time a real document is sealed, the total is rarely the number in the ad. Always price the complete session, not the seal.

The $25 number

Florida law caps the online notarial act itself at $25 (F.S. 117.275). Any honest online notary price is that act plus clearly stated platform and service fees — which is exactly how ours is itemized.

Why isn't online notarization free like my bank?

Banks absorb the cost as a customer perk for simple, in-person stamps. Online sessions carry real per-session costs — identity verification services, the audio-video platform, mandatory session recording and retention — plus a commissioned notary's time on live video.

Is there a truly free online notary?

Free trials and promo credits exist, but a legally complete RON session has hard third-party costs, so sustained free online notarization essentially doesn't. Genuinely free notarization is the in-person kind at banks and credit unions.

Are there hidden fees in your price?

No. The price you see covers the notarial act, identity verification, platform, and service. If you add the apostille package, the state fee, handling, and shipping are already inside that price too.

Do I need to mail you anything?
